Damsels in Success Warwick GroupDamsels in Success is here to help you achieve greater success in your life without the stress. Come along and meet your new peer group who will support and challenge you to be the best you can be. Can you really afford to miss it? Here’s the latest from Warwick...What I believe happens to a woman after each Damsels in Success meetingMay 17, 2012 She grows and a little bit more of her is transformed as she experiences new ways of doing things and of looking at life. She learns how to enrich her relationship with her partner and others in her life. She begins to realise that her dreams could come true if she believes and trusts. She makes new friends, she questions herself, she remembers things she’d forgotten; she might inspire some-one with her story and maybe cry at others' stories. She enjoys the absolute pleasure and empowerment of being with other like-minded women - and above all she is allowed and has allowed herself to be me in a fabulous warm, loving and sacred space. Of course all our relationships start with ourselves, and how we feel about who we are and what we have to offer, but it would be great to be pointed in the right direction wouldn't it. We are delighted therefore to welcome our speaker award- winning relationship coach of the year Alex Santoro-Emmerson who will be helping us all to create and nurture our relationships. The Theme for Damsels in Success in October is 'You Reap What you Sow', which is of course something we all know about, however it is something which sometimes slips from our mind.I think the biggest and probably easiest pointer to take away from this month's event is 'Focus on what you want'.I am certain that many of you have heard the phrase 'don't think of a blue tree'. The difficulty with that is of course that we have to think of it first to discount it and so our initial energy is directed towards the thing we don't want and it takes our focus making it hard to then ignore 'the blue tree'. If you have children you will no doubt have seen this effect often 'don't run' you hear and this seems to make no difference to the child running, however 'walk carefully' means that the child’s focus goes directly to the idea of walking - success (well with children not 100% of the time and still definitely better than the option). So, like a child, our unconscious mind wants to hear only the positive - 'I will arrive on time' rather than 'I mustn’t be late' and when it comes to sowing seeds, knowing what you want and being able to state it in a positive way really is half the battle.Today just see if you can speak in a positive manner (say what you want to be true or have happen) and then as a challenge for the rest of the week, see whether you can think in that positive way too.Wishing you a positive week of beautiful seed sowing and success with ease and grace and I will catch you here again soon.

We had our own fabulous ‘R n R’ event in Warwick at the end of June and are now taking a summer break, coming back raring to go for our ‘Back to School’ event in August. In the meantime our Damsels groups up and down the UK are holding their own R n R events – check them on out on this website under the ‘Upcoming Events’ Section. Now Resting and Recharging isn’t JUST about having a lie-in here or a visit to the spa - we all relax and recharge in our own unique ways and what works for one can often have totally the opposite effect on another … take me for instance, a guaranteed recharger is to put my favourite Karaoke game on the WII and sing my little heart out … I have a particular penchant for Broadway classics at the moment and I appreciate that this may not be YOUR cup of tea, yet what ever your thing is, I would love to share another tip that works wonders for me when it comes to recharging. So much for my efforts this week to be organised and to travel light! So with precious time to myself, I was debating what to do with it & couldn't decide between a swim or work. Then the penny dropped that swimming is work for me - I always get my best ideas in the pool! We often make the mistake of trying to separate our activities when combining them is not only often more productive but helps our creative flow too. Had my second meeting as new leader of Warwick this month - time is flying so quickly and I am delighted that so many gorgeous women are joining the eve-olution and joining the fabulous, feminine phenomena that is Damsels in Success! In September I loved sharing our 4 top tips on ‘How to Live Your Dreams’. And as I shared with you too - Damsels in Success is the big difference that has helped ME to live MY dreams, in so many ways: I literally went from being a ‘Damsel in Distress’, with work, relationship and health woes, to being a Damsel in Success - living the life I want, the way I want it. These have contributed to massive personal growth for me. It is fantastic to be part of a community of like minded women who want to excel in all areas of their lives." I joined this wonderful group over 2 years ago & can honestly say that it has completely changed my life … in all sorts of superb ways, which I will be happy to share with you. Before then I was doing the oh so feminine juggling act of family, work, housekeeping, gardening, being a social secretary & so much more besides. I ran around like a headless chicken, knowing that I had great friends, a busy social life & a successful career. Yet … despite all this, so much of the time, all I felt was tired, ill, lonely, unhappy & unfulfilled … Click here to read the full post>> |
