Damsels in Success is a fabulous group, committed to helping women like you get what you want from life. We get together on a monthly basis to learn & share tips & techniques on creating the life we love. Each month we will focus on a different topic, from achieving our dreams & desires, maximising our health & energy, to oozing with confidence each & everyday. As women we play many different roles and sometimes we can lose ourselves within these roles. Life flashes by at a 100 mph, it seems, until we are running on empty and we just want out. Damsels in Success is all about creating success without the stress, achieving the things we want with more ease while dealing with the challenges life throws at us along the way. For one morning a month you can make more time for yourself, focus on what you want and connect with other amazing women who will support you every step of the way. At Tunbridge Wells we have a fabulous venue in The Brew House and our meetings are full of energy, fun & laughter with take away learnings to help make those changes we need to feel fulfilled. Damsels Rock the Joint!

Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing event Live The Dream was last Monday! I am still on a complete high, savouring every moment of that wonderful morning!

The reason I chose The Old School House was because it had glitter balls suspended from the ceiling but by the time Mum, Gerald and I had finished with it, if I say so myself, it looked transformed! Talk about a feminine touch (yes, I forced Gerald to get in touch with his feminine side too!) As I looked around, in those final few minutes before everyone arrived, I saw throws draped over leather sofas, beautiful flowers on every table and on the stage, inspiring quotes in frames, beautiful figures of Damsels and best of all ... chocolate brownies & lemon drizzle cake on the refreshments table!!

Technology with Ease

It's Sunday 15th April, the day before Live The Dream, the launch meeting of Damsels in Success Tunbridge Wells, takes place and I have been reminded of one of the core Damsel messages - that of "success with ease".

I've done everything on my checklist and I was feeling pretty chilled about tomorrow, until I remembered that I had to set up my paypal account so that I could take payments more easily.

What it Means to be a Damsel

This afternoon, as I was waiting to get off my flight to Amsterdam, the man next to me offered to hand me my jacket from the overhead locker and my rucksack. I accepted with a smile and made sure I made full eye contact with him when I thanked him for his kindness.

As I walked through the airport, heading for passport control, I reflected upon the fact that I had behaved like a true Damsel. Without a hint of distress from me, this man had taken it upon himself to behave like a gentleman and help me out, simply because he could. Instead of refusing his offer and wanting to be independent, I accepted because I understand the importance of allowing people to be kind and helpful. Not only did it make me feel better, I know that it made him feel good too.

In my professional life I run two businesses and my passion in life is to help women who love to work really get the most out of their careers. If you want an indication of my style, think of me as the Mary Portas of the career world! What Mary does for ailing high street retailers, I do for women's careers! I literally give them a make-over so that they work for the women who want more from their professional lives.
