In business and in my relationships I followed the ‘hard path’ for almost 20 years. I had become so addicted to success that I forgot who I was.... turning up every day to a job that bored me, in a relationship that didn’t truly meet my needs, and ending up resentful, frustrated and disappointed with my lot.

Can you relate to any of that?

 I had all the ‘toys’ and from the outside my life looked great, nice husband, nice car, good job, smart outfits. Inside my heart was breaking...and worse yet I didn’t know why....
 
All I knew was that something didn’t feel ‘right’... I asked myself “Is this it??”

Feather, Brick…… TRUCK

A mentor of mine once taught me a very important lesson that guides my life to this day;

He said “Life is giving you messages all the time. At first they are quiet, like a feather, and you must be in tune with yourself to notice them.” (For most people, that little feeling in your gut, the one telling you things aren’t quite right is the feather…)

“But, if you don’t hear the message, then you get the message again, only this team it’s a little louder, normally showing up in the form of some life drama or ‘incident’ designed so you finally pay attention and make a change.

But if you still insist on ignoring the message the universe is trying to give you, you’ll get hit by a truck (metaphorically speaking!) and you’ll be FORCED to pay attention”

But as the months rolled on, I kept ignoring the voice in my head that said;

“He’s not the right man for you”

“I don’t like this job”

….etc, etc.

I had gotten so good at ‘tuning out’ from my intuition that it would take a pretty big ‘truck’ to wake me up….

The Fatal Car Crash…

29th November 2002

It was a beautiful sunny day on the east coast of Australia. I’d taken some time off work to do some travelling with a group of friends.

We’d just got back on to the mainland after a day trip to beautiful sun kissed island. As I clambered into the passenger seat of our white Toyota Landcruiser the talk quickly turned to where we could eat.

As we were making our way along a long and empty desert road a massive gust of wind suddenly caught the car, causing Andy (the driver) to swerve just enough to take one of the tyres off the edge of the road…

Next thing I knew we were turning over and over, as the car cart wheeled two, three, four times, thankfully coming to rest the right way up.

As I lay there drenched in blood, keeping completely still, wondering if I would live or die, wondering if I did survive would I be able to walk again?  What might my life be like?  Would I still be able to work, use a computer, have children?

And I had a conversation with myself - with my higher self, & I asked myself if I died in this moment, if I died right now, could I honestly say that I'd left my mark in some way? Could I say that I'd lived fully, loved freely, & had given everything that I'd got. I was sad to say that at that moment that I could not, that I hadn't. And I prayed for another chance.

So I made a promise to myself that if I got that other chance - whether I would be paralysed or not - then I would use it.  I would make my life count. 

I was one of the lucky ones, the driver walked away with bruises, I only broke my neck, two of my friends weren’t so lucky…

I don't believe any of us want to lie awake at night, or worse still on our death bed wishing things were different.  I think we all want to be able to say that we lived the life we wished for, did everything we wanted, that we were the example not the warning.

But how many people die with their dreams left inside them?

I'm certain you won't be one of them - will you?

I know how lonely it can be - pursuing a different path.  Even if you're surrounded by a lot of people,  you can still feel alone.

I want nothing more than to see every woman to truly fulfil her highest potential (& we all know it's even higher than we think it is)

Wherever you are in your life, right now I KNOW this event will make a massive difference to you, & help you make a difference to others.   

I swore to myself that I would make better use of my ‘second life’. I would no longer act powerless to change any of my circumstances, and I would devote my life to finding out a better way, a new way to live...

I got a divorce, and quit my job...It was scary to let go like that but I had no choice, I had to answer the desire in my heart, to rediscover who I was and how to make my life work.

My ‘secret’ discovery has enabled me to work less, love more & yet I’ve made more of a difference than ever – in a nutshell I Live, Love, Lead a 10/10 life.

I am now the proud wife of an amazing man, I’m the mother of two incredible kids, I run a business that inspires me and is fulfilling and profitable, reflecting who I am inside and where I get to fully express my gifts and live my purpose!
